1. The google doc is awesome. My initial thought is that it will be great for sharing our lesson plans amongst team members. For the assignment, I uploaded my lesson plans for the first week of school (from last year)and sent a copy to my team leader, so she see if there is anything she'd like to use.

The Reader will be great for keeping up with controversial topics, as well as educational. Should be a great tool for keeping students engaged. Both applications will allow for teachers and students to be better connected and to share and work collaboratively.
